Mixtape: Sabrina - The Disco Club Collection

Last year, italo disco star Sabrina Salerno released a greatest hits album called "Erase/Rewind". It included new remixes of her classic hits from the eighties. Today, I made my own mixtape CD, called "The Disco Club Collection", an album I wished they would release officially, with original versions of Sabrina's hits.

What do you think of the tracklist? I would also love a bonus disc featuring rare remixes.

"The Disco Club Collection" tacklist:

1. Boys (Summertime Love)
2. Sexy Girl
3. Hot Girl (New Version)
4. All Of Me (Boy Oh Boy)
5. Like A Yo-Yo
6. My Chico
7. Sex (Remix)
8. Doctor's Orders
9. Gringo
10. Yeah Yeah
11. Afraid To Love
12. Shadows Of The Night
13. Cover Model
14. Angel Boy
15. Rockawillie
16. I Love You (Remix)
17. Born To Be Alive
18. Erase/Rewind

The tracks weren't illegally downloaded, I have them all on CD.

Dynasty and Hotel on DVD

I just wanted to tell you all that the complete season four (seven discs) of "Dynasty" has just been released on DVD in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The season is not divided like in the US. Volume two of season four won't be released in the US until February 2, 2010.

Also, if you love "Dynasty" as much as I do, you might also like the Aaron Spelling 80's soap opera "Hotel", starring James Brolin and Anne Baxter. If you do, please buy season one on DVD, to make sure that they release the full series! Rumour has it that season two is coming out in 2010.

Thank you!

New Hazell Dean and Mandy Smith releases

According to Hazell Dean's official website, Cherry Pop is about to rerelease the 80's disco diva's debut album "Heart First", originally released in 1984. The album featured hit singles "Searchin' (I Gotta Find A Man)" and the Stock Aitken Waterman hit "Whatever I Do (Wherever I Go)". The rerelease will probably include rare tracks and remixes. I hope this means that her 1988 album "Always" also is being rereleased soon.

Also, all singles recorded by 80's disco star Mandy Smith is going to be available on iTunes before Christmas! "Don't You Want Me Baby" and the previously unreleased "Terry" were released earlier this year, including rare and unreleased remixes. By the end of the year we will have "I Just Can't Wait", "Positive Reaction", "Boys And Girls" and "Victim Of Pleasure" too. Don't miss it!

La Toya Jackson's new single dedicated to Michael

I just wanted to recommend pop singer La Toya Jackson's new single "Home". It's dedicated to her brother Michael and their family. You can buy the single off iTunes right now! All the money goes to the AIDS Project Los Angeles, an organization that Michael Jackson himself used to support. I alway want to recommend La Toya's pop albums "La Toya" (1988), "Bad Girl" (1989) and "No Relations" (1991). They are amazing!

Melrose Place - Hearther Locklear Promos

Don't miss Heather Locklear's return to "Melrose Place" on November 17 on The CW. I'm so excited I can't breathe! TV Guide Magazine recently interviewed Heather about her return. Check out the interview right here.

They have also released two new promos to welcome Heather back, one trailer and one poster. Doesn't she look hot? The world of soap operas has really missed Amanda Woodward, the queen bitch!

Desperate Housewives - What if it's all a dream?

What if Paul Young would wake up one day, walk into the bathroom, find Mary Alice in the shower and realise that the whole series was just a dream?

Sorry, I'm stuck in the eighties.

Melrose Place - Ashlee and Colin fired

Today, it was revealed that Ashlee Simpson and Colin Egglesfield are being fired from the new "Melrose Place"! The creators say that this was always the plan, but the fans think it's because of the criticism the actors have recieved. Violet and Auggie will probably leave the show in episode twelve.

I'm going to miss Violet. I know Simpson isn't the best actress in the world, but I don't think she's as bad as everyone's saying. Besides, I think her crazy character is very entertaining. She reminds me of Kimberly (Marcia Cross) from the original.

And now for some good news. Today, the series producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer told Entertainment Weekly that Heather Locklear's Amanda will play a big part of the series when she returns, and she will be around for a long time. This is the best news I've heard all year!

Improve One Tree Hill

Teen drama series "One Tree Hill" would be so much better if they removed all the boring stuff about basketball. I mean, come on, who really cares about that? And am I the only one who thinks that Jamie Scott (Jackson Brundage) is taking up way too much of the main character's time? He doesn't need his own storylines! Besides, his character is very unrealistic for a kid.

Other than that, I like the show! My favourite characters are Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) and Victoria Davis (Daphne Zuniga). I loved Daphne on "Melrose Place". What do you think of "One Tree Hill"? Let me know!

The new Dallas spinoff series!

A new "Dallas" spinoff series might happen, according to Ultimate Dallas, the original show's official website! Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, but Warner Brothers are planning to bring the rich Ewing family back.

This time, they will focus a new generation of Ewings, but some of the original cast will be brought back to guest star. Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy have already been approached.

I really hope that this will happen. It would be amazing! But they have to bring back my favourite, Sue Ellen (Linda Gray). I also want Pamela (Victoria Principal) to return from the dead so that she and Bobby can end up together again. They were the perfect soap couple!

But we'll see what happens. I will let you know as soon as I have more information!

Kylie Minogue - My own X album

I love Kylie Minogue's 2007 album "X", but since I prefer electropop and dance I decided to make my own version of the album. I removed my least favourite tracks "2 Hearts", "Cosmic" and "All I See", an added some B-sides from the period instead. What would your own version of "X" look like?

My own "X" tracklist:

Favourite Mandy Smith songs?

Please vote for your three favourite tracks released by the wonderful Mandy Smith in this poll! And keep following this blog to read my upcoming interview with the pop sensation.

Lili & Susie - Swedish italo disco

Listen up! All disco fans should download the new single "Show Me Heaven" by Lili & Susie, a popular Swedish disco duo. Lili & Susie, formely known as Lili & Sussie, had big success in the late 80's and early 90's with singles such as "Oh Mama", "What's The Colour Of Love" and the italo disco ballad "Candy Love". They made a huge comeback earlier this year in "Melodifestivalen", the Swedish pre-selection to the "Eurovision Song Contest".

The single "Show Me Heaven" is now available worldwide on iTunes Store and it's just as good as their songs from the 1980's. Don't miss it!

Dallas Vs. Dynasty Vs. Falcon Crest

Which one of the big prime time soap operas of the 1980's is your favourite? Please vote in this poll. Even though I love all of them, I have to say that my all-time favourite is "Dynasty". Nothing can compete with that show's glamour, drama, fashion and cliffhangers!

I am Alexis

Dear, soap fans, it's official! I have legally changed my name. Per Dennis Svedberg Hellström doesn't exist anymore. Say hello to Dennis Alexis Hellström. I hope you like the new name as much as I do! As you might have figured out, I've taken the name Alexis from my idol Joan Collins' "Dynasty" character Alexis Carrington Colby.

I know, I'm obsessed with that show! If you want to you can now call me Alexis or Dennis Alexis. But Dennis is fine too. I removed Per because I never felt comfortable with that name, and I removed Svedberg out of personal reasons. I feel great about this!

Jane Andrews Mancini's back!

I just found this video clip from the new "Melrose Place" episode. Josie Bissett is back as Jane Andrews Maninci, and she's blackmailing Ella into helping her make a comeback in the fashion industry. Doesn't she look good? I'm so glad Jane's back. I hope she'll get into a catfight with Heather Locklear's Amanda when she returns. This is from episode four, airing next week on The CW. Don't miss it!

All soaps about models are cancelled

Why is it that all good soap operas about models are cancelled? I think the only exception is "Ugly Betty", even thought it's more of a comedy-drama.

The CW is now cancelling the Ashton Kutcher produced drama "The Beautiful Life", starring Mischa Barton, after only two episodes. It's such a shame, because I thought it was really good!

Other great soap operas about models are 80's classic "Paper Dolls", starring Morgan Fairchild, and 90's classic "Models Inc." starring Linda Gray. They were both cancelled after only one season, even though they were really well-made. It's such a waste.

Shouldn't the fashion industry be the perfect place for a soap opera? Why do people prefer reality shows like "America's Next Top Model" over prime time soap operas about models?

Heather Locklear is moving back to Melrose Place!

The news we've all been waiting for is finally here! Heather Locklear will, according to the New York Post, join the new "Melrose Place" spinoff. This is amazing!

Her character Amanda Woodward has always been my favourite so I hope she will be a regular. But considering Locklear's salary I guess she'll only return for a couple of episodes.

So far, these actors are returning from the original: Laura Leighton, Thomas Calabro, Heather Locklear, Josie Bissett and Daphne Zuniga. Rumour has it that Grant Show and Courtney Thorne-Smith are in negotiation too.

Who is your favourite "Melrose Place" character?

Stéphanie of Monaco - New fansite

Melrose Place pilot

So, what did you all think of the new "Melrose Place" pilot? Please let me know! I personally loved it.

As a HUGE fan of the original, I was a bit sad to see a certain character get killed off, but I'll get over it. And who knows, maybe this person will return from the dead at the end of this season? This is "Melrose Place", for God's sake, anything can happen!

Some fans of the original are complaining about the new show, but I don't agree with them. This isn't the same show, so they can't keep everything the same as it was in the original. Times have changed so we have to accept change if we want the show to survive today. This isn't the 90's.

But I for one think that they've keep a lot of the original atmosphere. And I definitely don't think that Ashlee Simpson is as bad as everyone said she would be.

New Joan Collins interview

The fabulous "Dynasty" glamour diva Joan Collins was recently a guest on British talk show "Loose Women". They discussed everything from her love life to her phobia of kissing people she doesn't know (Lily Allen) on the cheek.

The best part of the show was when Joan said that she really misses the 1980's. I mean, who doesn't? She also said that she still loves 80's fashion, especially shoulder pads. I couldn't agree more!

If only we could see Joan back in shoulder pads, fighting Linda Evan.

Stacey Q - Two Of Hearts

The wonderful dance hit "Two Of Hearts" from 1986 is one of my favourite songs! Stacey Q is a musical goddess! Don't forget to order her new single "Trip", out now.

Dynasty - Full season 4 release

I have great news for all "Dynasty" fans! The complete season four of this wonderful 1980's soap opera is being released in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland on November 25!

Melrose Place - Jo + Jake = Forever

I'm once again watching the first season of 1990's soap opera "Melrose Place". But I can't help feeling sad about Jake and Jo not ending up together. They were THE couple back then, going on again, off again.

Well, now Jo (Daphne Zuniga) is returning to the new "Melrose Place" spinoff and Jake (Grant Show) might show up too. Wouldn't it be great to see them both together again? If nothing else than at least for a couple of episodes. Just to give them a happy ending.

I understand why the upcoming show has to focus mainly on the new cast, I'm just afraid that they might niglect the old one, like they did on "90210". Does anyone else agree? Stay tuned to this blog for the latest news!

Bobby Ewing's back from the dead

This is the famous shower scene from "Dallas", where the popular Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) returns from the dead! It turns out that the last season was just Pamela's dream. You just have to love that!

The dream season is, by the way, one of my favourite "Dallas" seasons. More glamour, more drama, more female storylines, more "Dynasty".

Melrose Place - The explosion

This is one of the best soap moments ever. Kimberly Shaw (Marcia Cross) blows up the "Melrose Place" building in the first episode of season four. This scene guest stars Morgan Brittany, known from "Dallas".

Dynasty catfight #1

This is the first catfight between Alexis (Joan Collins) and Krystle (Linda Evans) on the number one 80's soap "Dynasty". I just can't get enough of these women, especially Joan. She's the queen bitch of soap operas. Enjoy!

Sydney is moving back to Melrose Place!

Some Swedish magazines just reported that Laura Leighton will return to the new version of "Melrose Place". This is amazing news! Laura will once again play the sexy and dramatic Sydney Andrews, sister of Jane Mancini.

I'm really excited, especially since her character died in the fifth season, on her wedding day! How are they gonna bring her back? Well, this is "Melrose Place" so anything can happen.

Thomas Calabro will also return to the new show, playing everyone's favourite bad guy, Michael Mancini.
