A few months ago I got this lovely CD box set: "Dance Masters: Shep Pettibone (The Classic Master-Mixes)". I'm a big fan of Pettibone's work so it's great to have this collection of remixes of songs by artists such as Whitney Houston, George Michael, Duran Duran, Elton John and Pet Shop Boys.

Jaki Graham - 35th Anniversary Collection (Heaven Knows & Breaking Away)

I just got the lovely "35th Anniversary Collection" CD box set by Jaki Graham. It includes her first two albums, "Heaven Knows" (1985) and "Breaking Away" (1986), digitally remastered and expanded with loads of rarities like B-sides and remixes. There are even some previously unreleased tracks on it. A must for fans och eighties R&B, soul and pop music.

ABBA - Little Things (CD single)

I don't buy one track CD singles anymore, but I had to make an exception for the ABBA comeback singles and I recently got the lovely Christmas single "Little Things" in the mail. The song is really sweet and all royalties will be donated to UNICEF, just like their classic "Chiquitita".

Stacy Lattisaw - The Cotillion Years 1979-1985

I just got the CD box set "The Cotillion Years 1979-1985" by the lovely Stacy Lattisaw, including seven remastered albums. Her music is a mixture of pop, R&B, soul and disco. I really recommend this box set to all fans of Stacy or these genres.

I finally got the 40th anniversary edition of my idol Olivia Newton-John's amazing album "Physical" (1981). It includes the original album plus loads of bonus tracks and remixes, all remastered from the original master tapes. You even get a DVD with the "Physical Video Album" and "Olivia In Concert". Special points for including her fabulous songs from the "Two Of A Kind" (1983) soundtrack.

Some albums are so good that they deserve to be bought twice. I just got the brand new "Guest List Edition" of my idol Kylie Minogue's perfect album "DISCO" (2020). It includes new songs (duets with Gloria Gaynor, Jessie Ware, Years & Years and Dua Lipa), remixes and finally the concert "Infinite Disco Livestream" on DVD and Blu-ray. I love it!

Dead Or Alive - Fan The Flame (Part 2): The Resurrection

"Fan The Flame (Part 2) - The Resurrection", the previously unreleased album by legendary band Dead Or Alive, is finally out and it was worth the wait. I love the early nineties dance-pop sound and my favourite tracks are "Tonight....", "Hurt Me (Did U Have 2 Hurt Me)", "U Were Meant 4 Me" and "I Want 2 B With U". This is a treat for all fans of the band and fans och dance-pop in general.

Spice Girls - Spice (25th Anniversary Reissue)

I'm loving the new remastered and expanded twenty-fifth anniversary edition of "Spice" (1996) by my childhood idols Spice Girls. It includes rarities such as B-sides, remixes and demos. The discs come in a lovely case which also includes cool postcards of the girls. If you're a fan of girl power, don't miss out on this nice box set.

I recently got this new remastered and expanded reissue of Eartha Kitt's fabulous album "I'm Still Here" (1989), including her collaborations with Bronski Beat. It includes single and extended remixes, plus her 1990 concert album "Live In London". I highly recommend it.

Eurotix - The Stupid Ones (EP)

After a long break because of the pandemic, mine and Larry Forsberg's synthpop project Eurotix are finally back with the brand new EP "The Stupid Ones". And don't worry, our signature sound of eighties retro synthpop hasn't gone away.

The title track is our most political one yet, discussing the state of the world right now and how some people prefer hate and ignorance over love. The EP also includes a funny song about a guy wishing he was Tom Jones, the melancholic "Memory Lane" and finally a brand new remix of the song "You Won't See Me Dancing".

Kim Wilde is one of my biggest idols so I absolutely needed her new box set "Pop Don't Stop: Greatest Hits" in my collection. It consists of five CDs and two DVDs filled with hits, B-sides, remixes and music videos. It's so nice to finally get many of the rare single remixes on CD for the first time. And of course the brand new tracks too.

Steps - What The Future Holds Pt. 2

I'm loving the brand new Steps album "What The Future Holds Pt. 2". It's so catchy. It was originally intended to be just an expanded edition of their 2020 album, but they recorded so many good songs that it became a whole new studio album. Lucky us!

Included are the amazing singles "Take Me For A Ride" and Five Star cover "The Slightest Touch". They've also included the Michelle Visage duet version of "Heartbreak In This City", although I personally prefer the original album version.

Highly recommended!

Sheena Easton - The Definitive Singles 1980-1987

I'm a huge Sheena Easton fan so I'm very happy about getting her brand new collection "The Definitive Singles 1980-1987" yesterday. It consists of three remastered discs packed with hits, plus rare and unreleased songs and remixes, for example the lost 1986 tracks "Anything Can Happen" and "Sweet Talker" from 1986. I love it!

ABBA are back with Voyage album

Wow. I still can't believe that ABBA are back, for real. I've been a huge fan since I was a child and their music means the world to me. I was terribly bullied as a child and listening to ABBA and Agnetha's solo music was my escapism. So yesterday's news about a brand new ABBA album made me so emotional. I cried through the livestream and the new songs.

It's like a dream come true. I don't care what anyone else says, I love it. The two first singles from the album, "I Still Have Faith In You" and "Don't Shut Me Down" are out digitally now and although I love both, the latter is my personal favourite of the two. I can't wait to hear the full album.

So the brand new album "Voyage" will be released on November 5 and you can pre-order it now from ABBA Voyage and most other outlets. It's available digitally, on CD, vinyl and cassette. Check out the tracklist down below. It's interesting to finally see the unreleased ABBA tracks "Just A Notion" and "Bumblebee" released. This will be iconic

Fyr Og Flamme - Debut album on CD, vinyl and digital

Eighties pop never dies! I really love my signed copy of the fabulous debut album by Danish pop duo Fyr Og Flamme. The duo consists of the handsome guys Jesper Groth and Laurits Emanuel. They competed in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the hit single "Øve Os På Hinanden" that I fell for right away.

The whole album is great but my favourite track right now is the catchy "112" which is a tribute to the sound of Danish eighties duo Laban's classic "Love In Siberia". I highly recommend this fantastic retro album, so get it now!

Deniece Williams, Alphaville, Falco and Amii Stewart

New CD's in my record collection: "Free - The Columbia/Arc Recordings 1976-1988" by fabulous US singer Deniece Williams. It includes eleven remastered albums filled with amazing music from the seventies and eighties. Highly recommended!



And a while back I also bought these CD's: Remastered reissues of "Afternoons In Utopia" (1986) and "The Breathtaking Blue" (1989) by Alphaville, "Falco 3" (2010) by Falco and "Best Of - Knock On Wood"(2021) by Amii Stewart.

Jessie Ware, Keedy, Keiino, Jimmy Somerville and Eurovision

Some albums are so good that they deserve to be bought twice. This is "What's Your Pleasure? (The Platinum Pleasure Edition)" (2021) by Jessie Ware, featuring eight new tracks. Amazing retro disco album that I highly recommend.



I also bought these CD's a while back: "Save Some Love" (1991) and "Chase The Clouds" (1991) by Keedy, "OKTA" (2020) by Keiino, reissue of "Home Again" (2002) by Jimmy Somerville and finally "Eurovision Song Contest 2021".

Requiem: The London Boys Story (CD Box Set)

I'm loving the new CD box set "Requiem: The London Boys Story", just released by Cherry Pop Records. It includes the dance-pop duo's first three studio albums "The Twelve Commandments Of Dance" (1988), "Sweet Soul Music" (1991) and "Love 4 Unity" (1993), plus a ton of remixes and edits, all remastered.

The duo is best known for their singles "Requiem", "London Nights" and "Harlem Desire" which are all here, including all the remixes by the amazing PWL team. The box set is a very nice tribute to the London Boys themselves, Dennis Fuller and Edem Ephraim, who sadly passed away in a car accident in 1996. May their music live on forever.

I love my pink iPod

I recently bought a new friend, the iPod Touch 7. You're probably asking yourself: "Do they still make those?". Oh yes! As you might know, streaming isn't really my thing. I rarely use Spotify. I prefer to rip my CD's in the high sound quality I like or to buy uncompressed music files digitally.

For years, I have loved my old iPod Classic 160 GB since it could fit so much music. However, it has begun to show its age, so I bough an iPod Touch 256 GB which has even more space than the old one. It's even pink, my favourite colour. I named it DiscoPod.

It has a lot of extras that I don't really need. I mainly bought it for its big space. I also like that it won't bother me with phone calls or texts while I'm listening to music. Besides, I can't fit all my music on an iPhone so this iPod is perfect for me.

I wonder if I'm the only one who still uses an iPod?

Eurotix - Love Take Me Higher (EP)

Mine and Larry Forsberg's synthpop project Eurotix just released the brand new EP "Love Take Me Higher". The title track might sound familiar to Eurovision fans. The song was written by Larry and his friends for Melodifestivalen 2016 (Swedish pre-selection) where it was performed in Swedish by drag queen act After Dark.

But the original demo version was quite different. Dennis sang on the original version which was intended for disco group Alcazar. We are thrilled to finally release our version of the song! Check out the LGBTQ themed video down below.

The EP also includes our love letter to disco music: "I Don't Wanna Dance Alone", the Army Of Lovers-esque "Venus Calling Azerbaijan" and finally "Lockdown Disco", a song about the world's current situation.

Tanya Roberts has passed away

I was so sad to read the news about amazing actor Tanya Roberts' death. She was only sixty-five years old with so much more to give. She was a big favourite of mine.

As a kid, I first saw her in the original "Charlie's Angels" series (one of my all-time favourites) and the James Bond movie "A View To A Kill" (1985), and I became a big fan straight away. Later, I fell in love with her all over again on "That '70s Show" and when discovering the cult classics "Sheena: Queen Of The Jungle" (1984) and "Tourist Trap (1979)".

Rest in peace, angel. You'll be terribly missed.
