Lulu - Independence (Reissue)

I haven't listened much to Lulu, with the exception of her Eurovision hit "Boom Bang-A-Bang" and her Bond theme "The Man With The Golden Gun". However, I do like her album "Independence" (1993) which has a more dancey soul-pop sound, for example the fabulous title track that was a hit in the United Kingdom.

The album has just been reissued by Cherry Pop Records as a remastered and expanded deluxe edition consisting of four CDs and one DVD, packed with non-album singles, remixes, B-sides and other rarities.

Kim Wilde - Teases & Dares (Reissue)

One of my favourite albums, "Teases & Dares" (1984) by the fabulous Kim Wilde, has been remastered and expanded by Cherry Red Records and it sounds great, better than the 2010 reissue in my opinion. I absolutely love the synthpop sound of this underrated album.

The singles "The Second Time" and "The Touch" are some of my all-time favourite songs and should have been huge back in the day. The reissue consists of two CDs and one DVD packed with rare material.

Madonna - Confessions II

It's always amazing when Madonna, one of my favourite artists, releases new music, especially dance music, so I've been busy listening to her new album "Confessions II". I bet you're not surprised to hear that my number one favourite track is "Danceteria", with its electronic dance sound.

Kim Wilde - Close (Reissue)

Some albums are extra special, and for me, one of my favourites is "Close" (1988) by the fabulous Kim Wilde. It has just been reissued and expanded by Cherry Pop Records. The album was previously reissued back in 2013, but the sound quality wasn't great, so the new reissue has been beautifully remastered from the original master tapes. It sounds amazing.

The album includes the singles "You Came", "Never Trust A Stranger", "Hey Mister Heartache", "Four Letter Word", and "Love In The Natural Way". Personally, I think that "Stone" should have been a single too, since it's a synthpop masterpiece.

Madonna - Bedtime Stories/The Untold Chapter (Reissue)

New in my record collection: reissue of Madonna's "Bedtime Stories" (1994) which comes with a bonus CD with demos and rarities called "Bedtime Stories: The Untold Chapter". While this album was never a favourite of mine (I'm more into dancey and electronic music) I do like some of the tracks and it's always a joy to hear unreleased stuff from the vault.

However, I still prefer the dance club remixes of the singles from this album. But that's just me.

The other day, I got the brand new Sheena Easton CD box set "Strut - The Complete EMI Recordings Vol II" and it's fabulous. It's packed with rarities like the previously unreleased "Shockwave" album. I highly recommend this box set to all fans of eighties pop and dance music.

New additions in my record collection: "Don't Click Play" (2025) by Ava Max, new anniversary reissue of "Chemistry" (2005) by Girls Aloud, "Some People" (1989) by E.G. Daily and "Ritual Of Love" by Karyn White.

I was thrilled to finally find a copy of the E.G. Daily promo single since I really wanted the rare track "Some People (7" House)" that is so much better than the album version.

I'm a huge fan of Sophie Ellis-Bextor's cool disco-pop and I just got her brand new album "Perimenopop" (2025), featuring the fabulous singles "Freedom Of The Night", "Vertigo" and "Relentless Love". The album even came with a signed art card. I highly recommend this masterpiece.

Alison Goldfrapp - Flux (2025)

I recently got Alison Goldfrapp's lovely new album "Flux" (2025) on CD. It's an amazing album of electronic pop music, such as the singles "Find Xanadu", "Reverberotic" and "Sound & Light". The only thing missing is the non-album single "I Wanna Be Loved (Just A Little Better)", my favourite song of hers, but I added it as a bonus track myself.

I recently received the deluxe edition of Louise's brand new album "Confessions" (2025) and I absolutely love it. It's one of the best albums of 2025 for me. Not one boring song, just dance-pop perfection, including the fabulous singles "Confession", "Love Me More" and "Borderline".

I recently got the brand new solo album "Ten Crowns" (2025) by Erasure singer Andy Bell. It's produced by Dave Audé and packed with amazing dance-pop music, like the amazing single "Breaking Thru The Interstellar". The album also includes duets with Deborah Harry and Sarah Potenza.
