Jennifer Lopez - Love Don't Cost A Thing

I've been listening to Jennifer Lopez a lot this week. One of my favourites by her is the 2000 hit single "Love Don't Cost A Thing". I remember buying the single right after seeing the cool video on MTV for the first time.

My favourite part is the cool dance break at 2:45. Too bad it's not included in the original version of the track. I'd love to have the video version on CD.

"Love Don't Cost A Thing" is included on the album "J.Lo", available on iTunes, Spotify and Amazon.

Silent Hill: Revelation 3D

Check out the official trailer for the upcoming horror movie "Silent Hill: Revelation". I love the first movie "Silent Hill" from 2006 and can't wait to see this sequel. Starring Adelaide Clemens, Sean Bean and Carrie-Anne Moss.

The wonderful Radha Mitchell, who played the mother in the first movie, is also returning to make an appearance.

One Tree Hill - The complete series on DVD

As you know, the teen soap opera "One Tree Hill" concluded on April 4 this year. The series premiered in 2003 and turned Chad Michael Murray, Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton and James Lafferty into stars overnight.

I missed out on the early seasons but I'm planning to get the show on DVD to find out how it all started. I'm such a soap nerd!

I think Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) should get her own spinoff series, set in New York City, where she starts up her own fashion empire. She is definately the most entertaining character of the show.

By the way, there is a complete box set out now on Amazon UK with all nine seasons on DVD. The set isn't out in the US. However, all seasons can be bought separately from Amazon US.

I still buy CD's

As you all know by now, I love collecting CD's. But to be honest, I rarely listen to them. When I receive a new CD I rip it in "Apple Lossless" format to save on my external hard drive, just in case something happens to the physical CD.

Next, I rip AAC files of the CD, in a higher bitrate than the tracks you buy on for example iTunes. These are the files that I listen to in my iTunes library and on my iPod.

However, I still love owning physical CD's with booklets and I buy music legally to support the artis and the songwriters. Being an artist myself, I know how much time, hard work and money that goes into making music and I think that should be rewarded somehow.

I sometimes buy music from the iTunes Store as well, but I prefer CD's for the ability to rip the music in a higher bitrate, to get the best sound quality possible. But that's just me!

Oz The Great And Powerful

Check out the brand new trailer for the 2013 adventure movie "Oz The Great And Powerful", directed by Sam Raimi himself. It takes place before the evens of "The Wizard Of Oz" and stars Michelle Williams, Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis and my favourite hunk James Franco.

The novel original "Oz" novel by L. Frank Baum was first published in 1900 and has been adapted for the big screen several times. But my favourite is the 1939 version, starring the divine Judy Garland. But I'm actually looking forward to seeing this prequel too!

C.C. Catch - 'Cause You Are Young

One of my favourite artists is the German italo disco singer C.C. Catch, who ruled the European clubs in the eighties. Here is the official video to her 1986 hit "'Cause You Are Young", the first song by her I ever heard. I really love the electronic italo disco sound!

The song is produced by Dieter Bohlen of Modern Talking and is available on C.C. Catch's debut album "Catch The Catch". You can find this song on the CD compilation "Catch The Hits".

New Upstairs, Downstairs on DVD

Do you remember the British drama series "Upstairs, Downstairs"? It was one of the most popular soap operas in the seventies. In 2010, the series got a spinoff. Sadly, it was cancelled after just two seasons, but I for one loved it!

The spinoff is about a brand new family living at 165 Eaton Place. Rose (Jean Marsh) from the original series is back too. You can order the complete series on DVD from Amazon UK. So far, only season one is available on Amazon US.

Don't miss out on this amazing drama series! The original show is out on DVD too. I recommend it to all drama lovers!

Steps - The Ultimate Tour Live on Blu-ray & DVD

As you know, the wonderfully plastic pop group Steps are back. On October 8, their successful comeback tour "The Ultimate Tour" is released on Blu-ray and DVD. It's the perfect item for people who didn't get a chance to see them live!

Amazon UK has both the Blu-ray and DVD up for pre-order. I'm not sure if it will be released in other countries as well. However, it's very easy and cheap to order from Amazon. I'm so excited about the Blu-ray release!

And finally, here is the video to one of Steps' biggest hits, the Bee Gees cover "Tragedy". The world needs more plastic pop!

Celeste Holm has passed away

I have some sad news for you today. Classic movie star Celeste Holm has passed away. She was ninety-five years old.

Celeste is best known for her roles in "Gentleman's Agreement" (1947) and my personal favourite "All About Eve" (1950) where she starred with Bette Davis, Anne Baxter and Marilyn Monroe.

In the eighties, Celeste also guest starred on glamorous prime time soap "Falcon Crest" as Anna Rossini.

Rest in peace, Celeste. You are missed.

Video: Madonna - Turn Up The Radio

One of my favourite tracks on Madonna's latest album "MDNA" is the amazing party anthem "Turn Up The Radio". She premiered the brand new video today and you can check it out right here. Cool, isn't it?

The video was shot in Florence, Italy and includes everything essential to a Madonna video: Dancing, beautiful scenery and sexy guys. "Turn Up The Radio" is available on iTunes and Spotify.

Kelly Clarkson - Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)

I've never been a fan of "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson. Don't get me wrong, she has an amazing voice, but her rock sound is way too boring for my taste.

However, I recently discovered her latest single "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" and I actually like the dance-pop sound and the uplifting lyrics. The track is available on iTunes and Spotify.

I really love Alexandra Burke's new album "Heartbreak On Hold"! It includes the dance-pop singles "Let It Go" and "Elephant". My personal favourite on the album is the title track "Heartbreak On Hold".

Ulrich Bermsjö - Those Who Suffer Love

Do you remember the fabulous pop duo Nouveau Riche? It consisted of former Army Of Lovers member Dominika Peczynski and Ulrich Bermsjö. Now, Ulrich has released his first solo album "Those Who Suffer Love".

After listening to the album a couple of times, I realised that the only songs I like are the electro tracks "After Hours", "Silver Screen" and "Deeper High". The rest of the album is pretty boring, to be honest.

But if you're interested, "Those Who Suffer Love" is available on iTunes and Spotify.

"Those Who Suffer Love" tracklist:

You can watch the video right here. It made me fall in love with the track the moment I first heard it. "Oh Lord" is available on iTunes.

Happy Hoes - We Rule The World

It's a cool dance track filled with classic Army Of Lovers "talks". "We Rule The World" is available on iTunes and Spotify.

Gossip Girl - The final season

I just read in The Hollywood Reporter, that the sixth season of "Gossip Girl" is going to be the last one. This is sad news for me, I've followed the series for years and still love it.

One the bright side, the creators know about the cancelation in advance so they have time to tie all loose ends. We don't want the show to end with a cliffhanger, do we?

What I like the most about "Gossip Girl" is that there's never a dull moment. The creators aren't afraid of going "over the top", including lots of drama, sex and crazy twists. They give us soap fans what we want!

All seasons of "Gossip Girl" are available on DVD, so at least we can rewatch this amazing teen soap over and over again. Are there any other "Gossip Girl" fans out there? Please leave a comment below!

Eleftheria Eleftheriou - Hearts Collide

One of my favourites in this year's Eurovision Song Contest was the kitschy pop track "Aphrodisiac" by Greek singer Eleftheria Eleftheriou. Now she's back with the new single "Hearts Collide".

Check out the sexy, homoerotic video right here. Sadly, the track isn't available on iTunes yet but I hope they'll release it as soon as possible.

Jedward - Miss America

Here is the video to Jedward's song "Miss America", taken from their last album "Victory". You can buy the song on iTunes.

Wilson Phillips - Hold On

One of my favourite songs is "Hold On" by US girl group Wilson Phillips. It was released in 1990 and became a big hit all over the world. The song always cheers me up and the wonderful lyrics have helped me through many dark times!

"Hold On" is taken from their debut album "Wilson Phillips", also including the beautiful singles "Release Me", "Impulsive" and "You're In Love". I'm usually not a big ballad fan but Wilson Phillips' ballads are an exception!

If you're interested, you can find their album on iTunes and Spotify.
