Ankie Bagger - Eighties euro disco from Sweden

The Plastic Retro website has just been updated with a brand new fan page about Swedish euro disco singer Ankie Bagger. It includes a biography, discography, polls and much more, so check it out!

Ankie started out as a backup singer and dancer for disco duo Lili & Susie, but also had a successful solo career, scoring hits with singles such as "People Say It's In The Air" and "Where Were You Last Night".

Trixie - Eighties disco-pop from Sweden

The Plastic Retro website has just received a new look on a new address. The previous artists are still in the database and I'm going to add new ones very soon, so stay tuned.

By the way, do you remember Swedish-Norwegian synthpop trio Trixie? They released an album in 1989 with amazing eighties dance-pop music, including singles such as "If You Walk Away" and the Per Gessle penned "From Head To Toe".

The band consisted of Ragnhild Røstad, Anders Eliasson and Michael Ellgren and I've created a new fan page on Plastic Retro dedicated to this amazing band. Check it out!

Sweet Connection - German disco duo fansite

I'm a big fan of the German duo Sweet Connection. They released four euro disco/italo disco singles in the late eighties and early nineties. "Need Your Passion" and "Dirty Job" from 1988 are their best knows hits and you can hear them down below.

Selena - Dutch disco singer fansite

I just created a fansite about Dutch italo disco singer Selena. Please check it out! When most people hear the name Selena, they think of latin pop singer Selena Quintanilla, who tragically died in 1995. But there was another artist called Selena, an italo disco singer from The Netherlands.

So What - Swedish synthpop duo fansite

I just finished the new fansite about Swedish pop duo So What. Please check it out! They are best known for their 80's singles "I Was Lucky", "Why Should I Trust You" and "You And I (Nathalie)". Gotta love their Stock Aitken Waterman inspired sound! Here are two of their videos:
