Trailer: Downton Abbey - Season 5

Check out the brand new trailer for the upcoming fifth season of British costume soap "Downton Abbey", which starts airing on 21 September in the UK. It looks like an exciting season, with guest stars such as Richard E. Grant, Anna Chancellor and George Clooney himself. I also hope that Thomas (Rob James-Collier) get a gay love interest this season. It's about time.

Season five will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in November. You can pre-order your copy now from Amazon UK and Amazon US.

Titanic - 2012 miniseries on Blu-ray

I've always been very interested in the Titanic so I'm very excited about the new miniseries "Titanic", written by Julian Fellowes, the man behind "Downton Abbey" and "Gosford Park".

The new miniseries is being released on both Blu-ray and DVD. You can order the Blu-ray now from Amazon UK or Amazon US. Don't miss out on this wonderful series!

"All human life is on Titanic as she sets out on her maiden voyage. The upper-class family with their suffragette daughter and their warring servants; the wealthy elite of American society; the Irish lawyer in Second Class with his embittered wife; the young cabin steward and the impetuous Italian waiter who falls for her; the Catholic engineer fleeing Belfast with his wife and family to escape the sectarian conflict; the mysterious stranger in Steerage fleeing who knows what. And then there are the officers and crew.

As their stories interweave and we find our first impressions are often undermined by what we learn, there is one thing that we know for certain and they do not: that not all of them will survive."

Shirley MacLaine in Downton Abbey

As confirmed by ITV, classic film star Shirley MacLaine will guest star on Brittish drama series "Downton Abbey". She'll show up in season three as Lady Grantham's mother. MacLaine is known for her roles in movies such as "Sweet Charity", "The Apartment" and "Terms Of Endearment".

I'm really excited about this! However, I'm still hoping Joan Collins will get to guest star on this wonderful series!

New Titanic TV series

Speaking of "Downton Abbey", the show's creator Julian Fellowes has created the new TV series "Titanic", premiering on ITV in April 1912, one hundred years after the real RMS Titanic sank. I'm very excited about this show since I'm very interested in the real Titanic. I also love British drama series!

"The series features four intertwined narratives which follow different characters to a cliff-hanger where the ship founders. The final episode will draw the different stories together and show which of the characters survive."

Joan Collins joins Downton Abbey?

According to British newspaper Daily Express, "Dynasty" soap goddess Joan Collins might show up in the third season of ITV's drama series "Downton Abbey", as the cousin of Maggie Smith's character Violet!

According to the newspaper, Collins is a huge fan of the show and has written on her Twitter page that she would love to join the upstairs, downstairs world of "Downton Abbey".

I know this is just a rumour so far, but I love both Joan Collins and "Downton Abbey", so I pray it's true! Wouldn't it be cool to see an Edwardian catfight?
