Today is a very sad day. Legendary author
Jackie Collins has passed away at seventy-seven, losing her battle with breast cancer. Jackie was best known for writing steamy novels about the rich and famous. Some of her most rememberable books are "Hollywood Wives", "Lucky" and "Chances". The latter introduced the popular character of
Lucky Santangelo who appeared in ten of the author's books.
What I admired most about Jackie was her ability to write about Hollywood's darker side, and of course her strong female characters. Jackie was very outspoken and brave. Her books encouraged women to
"kick ass" and be just as powerful as men can be.
Rest in peace, Jackie. You will be missed.
