One of my favourite albums, "Always" by Hazell Dean, is finally being reissued! This fantastic pop and disco album was originally released in 1988 and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman. It included singles such as "Who's Leaving Who", "Turn It Into Love" and "They Say It's Gonna Rain".

My idol Kylie Minogue is celebrating twenty-five years as a pop singer by releasing a new album with acoustic versions of her biggest hits. I'm not a big fan of acoustic music, but it's Kylie we're talking about, so I'll be getting it for sure!

Tooji - Stay

One of my favourite songs right now is "Stay" by sexy pop singer Tooji. He's representing Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest and I'm sure he'll do great. I love the modern pop sound and the song is very catchy.

My first reaction was that Tooji looks a bit like Swedish pop hunk Eric Saade, but Tooji is definately not a Saade copy.

As you all know, Steps are back! Did you miss out on them the last time around? Then "The Platinum Collection" is the CD box for you. It includes their amazing studio albums "Step One", "Steptacular" och "Buzz".

Sadly, the box doesn't include any bonus tracks like B-sides, unreleased tracks or remixes, so it's mainly for people who don't own the original albums. You can order "The Platinum Collection" now from Amazon.

Personally, I would prefer deluxe editions of their original albums, remastered with tons of rare bonus tracks and remixes, but you can't everything.

As my friends know, I don't listen to my own music very often. I always get embarrassed and start blushing whenever I hear my songs on the radio, especially the older ones. But I'm so glad people still like them!

The producers have always done a great job, it's just that I'm very shy and self-critical so I'm not comfortable listening to myself. Besides, some of my older lyrics are a bit dirty ha ha! And my voice wasn't as strong back then.

Anyway, while waiting for my new single "Die From A Broken Heart", I have put together a playlist with all my songs from 2002 to 2009. Some of them can be downloaded for free. But please keep in mind that some of them are quite old now!

Melodifestivalen, the Swedish pre-selection to the Eurovision Song Contest, has begun! One of my favourite songs in the first semi-final is "The Boy Can Dance" by Afro-Dite. It's a great disco track!

Afro-Dite won Melodifestivalen in 2002 with the disco pastiche "Never Let It Go" and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Hunk of the day: Lee E. Scharfstein (Interview With The Vampire)

Have you seen the 1994 horror movie "Interview With The Vampire"? It's based on a popular novel by Anne Rice, and stars Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise as two hunky, homoerotic vampires.

If so, did you ever notice hot actor Lee E. Scharfstein? He had a very small but mesmerizing part in the movie, as "Widow's Lover": a young and extremely cute guy with lips to die for. He ends up being seduced by Tom Cruise, which is short but sweet.

Some months ago, I happened to find Lee on Twitter and had to send him a message, complimenting his good looks. Mind you, he still looks amazing! To my great surprise, Lee replied, thanking me for the compliment.

As confirmed by ITV, classic film star Shirley MacLaine will guest star on Brittish drama series "Downton Abbey". She'll show up in season three as Lady Grantham's mother. MacLaine is known for her roles in movies such as "Sweet Charity", "The Apartment" and "Terms Of Endearment".

I'm really excited about this! However, I'm still hoping Joan Collins will get to guest star on this wonderful series!

Kelly Marie - The Passion Years

Scottish disco singer Kelly Marie is best known for her 1979 hit single "Feels Like I'm In Love". But between 1985 and 1986 she released a couple of dance-pop singles on Passion Records.

Now, these singles have been released on the compilation CD "The Passion Years". You can order it now from Amazon. However, the sound quality isn't perfect. I noticed quite a lot of distorion on some songs.

How to restore classic movies

Universal Studios are celebrating their one hundredth anniversary by restoring some of their biggest classics and releasing them on Blu-ray. Among them are "Dracula" (1931), "The Birds", "Frankenstein" (1931) and "Jaws".

Cliff Richard - I Just Don't Have The Heart

I've never been a big Cliff Richard fan. Sure, he is very talented and has a beautiful singing voice, but his music just isn't my style. However, there is one huge exception: "I Just Don't Have The Heart" from 1989.

The single was written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman, my all-time favourite hit makers, and became a big hit in the United Kingdom. I love SAW's wonderful disco-pop sound!

Lucy Ewing is back!

American actress Charlene Tilton is best known for her role as Lucy Ewing on 1980's soap "Dallas". But right now she is one of the contestants on the British TV show "Dancing On Ice". And she looks amazing on the new promotion photos from the show!

Samantha Fox albums re-released in 2012!

I'm so excited! 1980's icon Samantha Fox has announced on Twitter that her first four albums, "Touch Me" (1986), "Samantha Fox" (1987), "I Wanna Have Some Fun" (1988) and "Just One Night" (1991) will be re-released as remastered special editions!

Each album will include a bonus disc with rare tracks and remixes from that era. Samantha also announced that some previously unreleased tracks will be included, for example "Forever True", "Walking On Broken Glass" and her version of Boy Krazy's hit "That's What Love Can Do".

Cherry Pop are behind these special editions so we can expect perfect sound quality and Stock Aitken Waterman/PWL rarities. I'll get back to you when I know more!

Cleopatra on Blu-ray

New Titanic TV series

Speaking of "Downton Abbey", the show's creator Julian Fellowes has created the new TV series "Titanic", premiering on ITV in April 1912, one hundred years after the real RMS Titanic sank. I'm very excited about this show since I'm very interested in the real Titanic. I also love British drama series!

"The series features four intertwined narratives which follow different characters to a cliff-hanger where the ship founders. The final episode will draw the different stories together and show which of the characters survive."

Joan Collins joins Downton Abbey?

According to British newspaper Daily Express, "Dynasty" soap goddess Joan Collins might show up in the third season of ITV's drama series "Downton Abbey", as the cousin of Maggie Smith's character Violet!

According to the newspaper, Collins is a huge fan of the show and has written on her Twitter page that she would love to join the upstairs, downstairs world of "Downton Abbey".

I know this is just a rumour so far, but I love both Joan Collins and "Downton Abbey", so I pray it's true! Wouldn't it be cool to see an Edwardian catfight?

Australian pop singer Jason Donovan got his break in "Neighbours", the 80's soap opera. He also had a successful music career in the 80's and early 90's with singles such as "Too Many Broken Hearts" and the Kylie Minogue duet "Especially For You".

At the moment, Jason is doing really well on "Strictly Come Dancing" and PWL is celebrating this by releasing a megamix of his biggests hits on iTunes.

Desperate Housewives cancelled in 2012

All good things come to an end. ABC confirmed today that the popular soap opera "Desperate Housewives" is being cancelled in 2012, after eight seasons. The main reason is said to be declining rating.

I love "Desperate Housewives" and I've followed the show since the start in 2004, so it feels a bit sad. However, it's good that the creators know about it in advance, so that they can wrap up all storylines before the finale. We don't want it to end with a cliffhanger!

Rumour has it that one of the housewives will get a tragic end. Do you remember my old blogpost where I came up with the perfect ending to the show? "Dallas" alert!

It's finally official, the plastic pop group Steps is coming back! I'm so excited! I really love their music and have been a huge fan since I was a kid. According to Generation Steps, the group is reuniting to do a TV documentary.

They will also release a greatest hits album. I just hope they will record some brand new songs as well. My favourite Steps member is Claire Richards, she has the best voice. Although I'm a big fan of all the girls.

I love latin freestyle!

Not many people here in Sweden know about the music genre freestyle. The genre was huge in the US during the 80's and early 90's. Freestyle is a mix between dance, house, synthpop and latin pop. I'm not a fan of regular latin music, but I love freestyle!

Through the years, I've collected lots of freestyle albums on CD, mainly by female artists and girl groups. The upbeat melodies and the electronic dance sound always cheers me up. It's amazing!

Some freestyle artists I like: Sweet Sensation, The Cover Girls, Exposé, Shana, Brenda K. Starr, Nancy Martinez, Seduction, Stacey Q, Pajama Party, Shannon, Alisha, Cynthia. Here are some of their videos:

Greta Garbo's final film on DVD

As you probably know, I'm a huge fan of classic movies, and one of my favourite stars from the golden era is Swedish film goddess Greta Garbo.

Her final film, the 1942 comedy "Two-Faced Woman" is finally being released on DVD! American Garbo fans can order it from the Warner Archives.

There are no news on an international release yet, but I hope it won't take long. Stay tuned, Garbo fans!

New Dynasty movie

I have some great news for all you soap fans out there! According to Coming Soon, 80's prime time soap opera "Dynasty" is being developed as a feature film. It's going to be a prequel and take place in the 60's.

I'm really excited about this! The only bad thing about the movie being a prequel is that my idol Joan Collins can't be in it. Joan herself suggested on Twitter that Gemma Alterton should play young Alexis. What do you think?

Next Kylie Minogue single?

I don't care about sales or charts, I still love "Aphrodite"! It's one of my all-time favourite Kylie Minogue albums. Anyway, I think it would be a good idea to release "Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love)" or "Closer" as the next single off the album.

"Closer" is my favourite track on the album, and it's more mature than her previous singles. I also think it would attract many electro fans. The single needs a lot of cool remixes, and rare bonus tracks. I was a bit disappointed by the fact that "Better Than Today" and "Get Outta My Way" didn't include any new songs, just remixes.
